În apă se găsesc biban, caras, crap, plătică, somn și șalău. Conform listei ANPA a habitatelor contractate (23.02.2026), Canalul Dunăre – Marea Neagră este contractat de AJVPS Constanța: pe lângă permisul ANPA e nevoie de permisul asociației.
