Balta Larga este un lac de vale la circa 10 km de Brânceni, județul Teleorman, la sud de Alexandria: din Brânceni se face dreapta pe lângă mănăstire; drumul de pământ de la final e prost, iar pe vreme nefavorabilă se iese doar cu 4x4. Adâncimea variază între 1 și 8 m, iar accesul se face de pe ambele maluri. Balta e cunoscută pentru amurul de 4-11 kg și novacul de peste 3 kg; crapul e rar, dar mare, iar carasul trece de 500 g.
