La Gostinu, județul Giurgiu, Dunărea este un punct de pescuit pe apele publice ale fluviului, cu specii tipice de ape mari precum crap, somn, șalău, știucă și caras. Un loc cunoscut e „Crucea lui Jarcalate”, de pe dig. Se pescuiește cu permisul de pescuit recreativ ANADSPA (fosta ANPA); fiind zonă de frontieră, verifică și regulile Poliției de Frontieră.
