About this spot
Canal 5 is next to the lock, at the end of the road passable by car that leaves the village of Sinoie towards Gura Portiței, Mihai Viteazu commune, Constanța County, in the Danube Delta Biosphere Reserve. Canal 2, between lakes Razim and Sinoie, on the western bank, is a permitted recreational fishing area, with an ARBDD permit. Recreational fishing is forbidden here. Canal 5 is not among the recreational fishing areas of the Danube Delta Biosphere Reserve (Annex 3 to Order 159/1266/2011), and MADR/MMAP Order 23/297/2025 (Art. 10 para. 12) forbids recreational fishing on the lakes and canals of the reserve that are not in the annex. Only commercial fishing takes place here, by authorised fishermen.
