Fishing lakes near Bucharest

Within 50 km of the centre of Bucharest, RoFish lists 219 private lakes and 76 public waters. The list below sorts them by straight-line distance to their pin on the map; by road the distance is usually longer. Most of them are in: Ilfov (75), Călărași (65), Giurgiu (54), Ialomița (41).

On private lakes you pay the lake's fee, with no state permit, and follow each lake's own rules (opening hours, keeping fish or catch & release, number of rods, groundbait). On public waters (rivers, lakes, reservoirs) you need the ANADSPA (formerly ANPA) permit or the permit of the association that manages the water, and you respect the closed season.
