Compass

How to find your way with the compass

Hold the phone as flat as possible, like a plate. The letter N (north) on the dial always points to real magnetic north -- the other directions (S, E, W and those in between) are read around it, clockwise. The yellow arrow at the top always points forward, in the direction you are facing.

Useful when fishing to know which direction the wind is blowing from relative to your spot, or to quickly get your bearings on the bank of a big lake without clear landmarks.
