What you need

  • main line 0.25-0.35 mm
  • 0.25-0.30 mm sabiki body, 1.5-2 m
  • 5-10 short hooklengths (5-8 cm) on dropper loops
  • size 6-12 hooks with feathers or with bait
  • 60-150 g lead at the end

Steps

  1. 1

On the sabiki body, tie dropper loops 20-25 cm apart.

  2. 2

Attach the short hooklengths with the hooks to the loops; feathered hooks for horse mackerel, pieces of shrimp/mussel for gobies.

  3. 3

Tie the lead to the bottom end and the swivel that connects to the main line at the top.

  4. 4

Cast, let the lead sit on the bottom (gobies) or hold the rig mid-water (horse mackerel), with short movements of the tip.

  5. 5

At sea the law allows max. 2 poles/rods or one sabiki rig, with 10 hooks each.
