Method mix (carp, big Prussian carp)

For the method feeder: it should stick to the feeder and break down within 3-5 minutes.

Ingredients

  • 500 g 2 mm micro pellets (halibut, carp)
  • 300 g shop-bought method mix or fine breadcrumb + 100 g fishmeal
  • water (or the water you soaked the pellets in)
  • flavour: scopex/strawberry in summer, chilli/fish in cold water

Steps

    Soak the micro pellets in water for 2-3 minutes (just enough to cover them), then drain them and leave them for 10 minutes.

    Mix the damp pellets with the dry groundbait until they stick together when squeezed without water running out.

    Test it: press it into the mould with the hook bait on top and shake it gently – it must hold during the cast.

    Hook bait: an 8-10 mm wafter or hook pellets; the feeder mix should contain what's on the hook.
