The flashlight turns on your phone's flash from the page, with no app installed, on phones and browsers that allow camera access (usually Chrome on Android). On iPhone, Safari doesn't allow this: use the flashlight in Control Center.
On the bank, use light briefly and point it down: a strong beam on the water scares fish and bothers the anglers nearby. For a whole night, a head torch with red light is better.
