The permit's annual calendar
When it expires, when the new one is issued, when catches are reported and when prices change.
| When | What happens |
|---|---|
| 31 December | The ANADSPA (formerly ANPA) permit and most annual association permits expire (they run by calendar year). |
| December - January | ANADSPA permits for the new year become available on the portal; they're issued only after you've reported the catches of the year that's ending. |
| January - February | Associations publish their new prices and rules; the AJVPS general assemblies set the membership fees. |
| January - March | The usual window for reporting last year's catches on the ANADSPA portal (without a report, the portal won't issue the new permit). |
| March - April | The general closed season starts (approx. 60 days, dates differ by area). The closed-season order (MADR + MMAP no. 23/297/2025) is no longer annual: it stays in force until amended. |
| April - June | Closed season: no fishing; this is when association permits for the coming season are usually paid. |
| Autumn | October 1 - March 31: closed season for brown, rainbow and brook trout in natural waters (Order 23/297/2025, art. 6 f); grayling and huchen may not be fished all year. |
| Any time of year | You can also get the ANADSPA permit in the middle of the year; it's valid until 31 December. |
The exact closed-season dates for the current year are on the “Closed seasons” page under Information, taken from the official order.
