Forestry Directorate permit (Romsilva)
Glacial lakes and mountain reservoirs, and mountain rivers contracted by the county forestry directorates (Retezat, Făgăraș, Parâng, Apuseni etc.).
Cost: Set by each forestry directorate: daily permits (approx. 30-60 RON) or annual ones; often mandatory catch & release.
Validity: Daily or annual, depending on the type chosen.
Steps
- 1
See which forestry directorate manages the water
It's shown on the water's page in RoFish, in the “Permit” row, with the directorate's phone number.
- 2
Get the ANADSPA (formerly ANPA) permit first
It's required as a basis here too.
- 3
Call the forestry directorate or the local forest district
Ask where the permit is issued (the directorate's office, the forest district, the lake's chalet, sometimes online) and what rules the lake has (number of rods, catch & release, season).

Pay and keep the receipt/permit
At lakes in national parks it's checked by the park rangers, along with the park's rules (fire, tents, access).
Good to know
- Many of these lakes are in national parks or reserves: open fires and camping are allowed only in designated places.
- In alpine lakes you usually fish only for trout, with strict seasonal rules (trout closed season: autumn to spring).
