The Argeș River is a public watercourse in Giurgiu County. The habitat “Râul Argeș” (Popa Nae bridge – Hotarele) is contracted by AJVPS Giurgiu: in addition to the ANADSPA (formerly ANPA) recreational fishing permit you need the association's permit. The known fishing spots are “Oala”, a deep hole in the riverbed, with clear, cold water, about 1 km from the bridge at Mihăilești (access: București – Bragadiru – Cornetu, left at the bridge), then Ogrezeni, near the village of Malu Spart, about 30 km from București, and near the locality of Gostinari; the river can also be fished upstream and downstream of them. Observe the closed seasons and the legal minimum sizes.
