Râul Olt

About this spot

The Olt River rises in the Hășmaș Mountains (Eastern Carpathians), has a total length of about 615 km and crosses the counties of Harghita, Covasna, Brașov, Sibiu, Vâlcea, Olt and Teleorman before flowing into the Danube at Islaz, near Turnu Măgurele. In Harghita County it is in its upper course: in the area of the Băile Tușnad resort it passes through the Tușnad Gorge. The known fishing spots are at Văcărești and at Tușnad. It is public water, and these stretches are not managed by any association, so you fish with the ANADSPA (formerly ANPA) recreational fishing permit. Observe the closed seasons and the legal minimum sizes.
