Public waterin Alba county

About this spot
The Mureș River is 789 km long, rises on Muntele Negru in the Giurgeu Mountains and flows into the Tisa near Szeged, at an altitude of 86 metres, crossing the counties of Harghita, Mureș, Alba, Cluj, Hunedoara, Arad and Timiș. In Alba County it runs through the centre of Transylvania, midway along its course through Romania, past the municipality of Alba Iulia. The known fishing spots are at Stâna de Mureș, Gâmbaș, Alba Iulia and Blandiana. It is a public water: the habitat “Râul Mureș” (Stâna de Mureș – Băcăinți, 115 km) is contracted by AJVPS Alba, so in addition to the ANADSPA (formerly ANPA) recreational fishing permit you need the association's permit. Observe the closed seasons and the legal minimum sizes.
